Hill is trying to regain the seat he lost to Republican Mike Sodrel two years ago.We voted first thing this morning, and we mean FIRST THING - we were at our polling place at 6:02 a.m. And we were happy to see a young friend of ours, call him M, who is an IU senior this year and who is working at the polling place all day today.
The polling place was clean, large, well-lit, well-organized, with plenty of available parking; lines were already forming at 6 a.m. despite a driving rain; voting was fast and peaceable. The machines seemed to work just fine. Here's hoping things go as well all over the country.
